Brian Pearson continued his great run of results, coming second in the Lamburn Loop on the 24th June.
This was the inaugural road race organising by the Fechan Flyers and run under TLI Cycling rules and was the second event in the TLI Cycling SW Scotland Series. The event was run on the Hoddam Dalton and Brydekirk loop, renamed the Lamburn Loop after two well known local cyclists Alan Lamont and Brian Wellburn.
This rolling course featured one climb each lap and there were three different age related races run on the day. Brian got away in a break of three who all worked together well to keep away. Brian knew that the eventual winner, Dennis Anderson (Team Blanco Enduro) had a good sprint, and so he attacked with 2 miles to go. The remaining two guys worked together to catch him with about half a mile to go. Brian came second in the 3 up sprint, losing out by just a bike length!
Great result Bri, well done!
