Brian Pearson – International Racing

Brian Pearson has been busy racing in Belgium and Austria over the last couple of weeks , and has got some high placings against international competition!

On Sunday 5th August Brian finished 13th in the ICF World Championships, age related road race.  Brilliant result Bri!  We’ll post more news on Brian’s return, but we do know that for his efforts, he won a great prize – €5, a packet of pears and a punnet of blueberries!

Brian the moved onto Hartburg in Austria to ride the Worlds Masters Cycling week, which is a week long stage race based around the town.

We’ll post more details as we get them, after 4 days Brian was in 8th place on the GC, although he says i5 was tough in the 30 + degree heat. On Day 5 it was raining hard but Brian attacked at the finish – an uphill sprint, but faded to finish in 9th, retaining his place on GC.

Day 6 saw a 17km TT being run, Brian recording a 26:40 on his road bike.

thats all we’ve got so far but we’ll hopefully be more details from Bri ove4 the coming days.  Great efforts though Brian, well done!
