Saturday 20th August- Whitehaven- Summer CX

It was an eventful ‘Summer’ CX event organised by Dave Gowe up at Whitehaven today. The wind and driving rain certainly made it a challenging, boggy, energy sapping course. Randomly in the 5 years of running a summer cx this was his best attended!!

Ollie Mashiter won the youth event and it was a family affair with Paul Mashiter taking 5th in the seniors. National junior champ Mark Donovan won it from Niall Patterson. Tyla Loftus was 4th and I was 8th. There was also strong rides from Joseph Cowell, Neil Hercberg, Paul Savage, Ben Oldham and Paul Newby.
