Moniaive Wild Hills TLI Cycling Road Race – and Salt Ayre Crits – More Great Results

The lads keep getting more great results – so many we can’t keep up with them!

Lakes RC riders Andy Whalley, Kev Chadwick, Bri Pearson & John McMinn travelled to Scotland to compete in the Moniaive Wild Hills TLI Cycling Road Race on the 26th May.

Andy & Kev competed in the 40-54 age group race in which Andy solo’d to victory with Kev beating the rest to 2nd place.  A second win of the season for Andy Whalley – brilliant ride.

Brian & John competed in the 55+ age group , with Brian coming 3rd  and 1st 60+ rider and John coming 6th and 3rd 60+ rider!

On the 28th May some of te Lakes RC racers travelled down to Lancaster to the Salt Ayre circuit for some fast crit racing, again scoring some great results.

In the Vets race Kev Chadwick got away in a two man break – again – and won the sprint for the line – another win for Kev, what a great season he is having!  So tow wins in one there for Kev, 1st overall and 1st 50+ rider.

Brian Pearson finished in the bunch but also won, being the first 60+ rider – well done to both of you, brilliant results!

In the 2/3/4 cat race, Joe Richards finished strongly in 4th place, with Andy Whalley close behind in 8th – great results lads.
