As well as the local BCW club events, a number of riders have also been riding a number of open events in the region.
The most prolific of these is Chris Anderson, who in March and April rode 6 open events in the Lakes and Lancs SpoCo series – the Pendle Forest CC 27 mile TT, the Border City Wheelers 20, the super tough Nelson Wheelers CC 50 mile TT, the Barrow Central Wheelers 21, run on the local Coast Road course, the Kent Valley Road Club 22, and finally the Wigan Wheelers CC 30, run on a new Levens based course on the 29th April.
Chris has been riding really well in these events, recording some great times, and as a result he is currently sitting in 5th place out of 158 riders in the Lakes and Lancs SpoCo series, and second V50, and also he’s currently ranked 111th in the Cycling Time Trials National Rankings.
Well done Chris, some great rides and results there.
Richard Dixon has also raced a couple of the above events, the Barrow Central Wheelers 21 and the Wigan Wheelers CC 30, coming in mid field in both events and recording respectable times.
Finally, Kev Chadwick also flew the Lakes RC colours in the Barrow Central Wheelers 21, and recorded a great result, coming in 6th place in that event with a sub 50 minute ride – great ride Kev.
